A lab, funded
by the people
who use it.
AC Skin Science is an anti-aging lab that works on one thing: skin. We exist because aging skin is a harder problem than the industry usually admits. It is not one process. It is collagen loss, pigment accumulation, oxidative damage and barrier breakdown running at once, at different rates, in the same tissue.
Acting on all four at doses that do not fight each other is a combinatorial problem — far too large to solve by trial and error at a bench. So we narrow it computationally first, and only then do the slow, expensive work of formulating and testing.
Members fund that work. There is no outside money and no retail chain to feed, which is why the three-step program they take for 90 days can carry twelve actives at concentrations that usually sit behind a prescription pad — and still pay for the next study.
Model, formulate, prove
Every formulation goes through the same three stages, in the same order. Nothing skips ahead because it tested well in one of them.
Model
There are more combinations of actives, concentrations and carriers than anyone can test at a bench. Machine learning models screen those combinations for predicted efficacy, stability and interaction, and rank them. Only the top candidates go further.
Formulate
Ranked candidates are formulated and reviewed by a board-certified dermatologist, then tested for tolerance, penetration and shelf stability. Most do not survive this step.
Prove
What survives goes to clinical study before release, and stays under measurement afterward. Member outcomes feed back into the models, so the next formulation starts from better information than the last.
How we
operate
What the work
has produced.
Three steps, formulated and clinically tested as one regimen, and one shipment is a full 90-day challenge. Ingredient lists, the actives behind each claim, and what to expect at 14, 30, 60 and 90 days are all on the main page.
